I love to tell Others about My Jesus

As Christians, it’s sometimes hard to tell other people about our faith in Jesus. They look at us weird or they think we’re trying to act like we’re better than them. I know for sure that I am not at all trying to push my beliefs on anyone. I just want them to know my God the way I do, to be able to have him to lean on when everyone else walks away. My life isn’t easier because I have Jesus. In John 16:33, Jesus states, “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” I get lost all of the time, and I fall all the time; but the difference with having Jesus in your life is that I never have to look around for a hand to pull me up, because He is always right there beside me.

In this world, we look to so many things to try to make ourselves whole; we look to drugs or alcohol, or people or money or jobs. But I’ve found that there is only one thing, only one person who could ever make me whole. That person is Jesus Christ. This is why I try to tell everyone about Jesus. To quote Ann Wilson, “I guess I’m just kinda fixed on the only thing that’s ever fixed me, that’s why I sing songs about Jesus, instead of singing songs about whiskey” Because the world will always put a label on us, we will never be good enough for the world. But even with all of our imperfections, the creator of the universe and the King of Kings, the Ruler of all, sent his son to die for us, and gave us grace and mercy that we could never earn, and don’t deserve, and he calls us his beloved, his children.

Being a follower of Jesus Christ doesn’t mean my life is free of trials or worries, but it means that when these things come my way, I have the one who holds the world in his hand holding me upright with his other hand.
